The Research Study Toolkit for Adults With Intellectual Disabilities (Project ENGAGE) aims to see if a new research tool for adults with intellectual disabilities can help them make decisions about participating in research studies. 

Who can participate in this study?

Adults with an intellectual disability who are 18 or older and live in the United States.

Who cannot participate in this study?

People without an intellectual disability who are younger than 18 and do not live in the United States.

Where does this study take place?

Virtual

What activities are involved with this study?

  • Participate in an interview and try a new tool for making decisions about being in research. 
  • Answer questions about a pretend study.
  • The study team will record the interview.

What is the expected time commitment of this study?

The interview will last 1 to 2 hours.
